Hey guys,

Something some of you might not be aware of: Google "sees" each "version" of your URL differently. When you are building backlinks and commenting on blogs, etc, make sure you use the SAME URL. Here is what i mean.

To Google:

http://www.yoursite.com is different than yoursite.com , which is different than www.yoursite.com which is different than http://www.yoursite.com/. Looks like the same link to you, right? After all it's the same website. But Google seems to think that it is actually FOUR separate websites. So be careful and make sure you use only one link. The easiest one to pick is the link that comes up first in Google.

So from now on, remember-- be consistent with your URLs. Don't just sporadically use "http" or "www." in front of your website and sometimes not. And don't put a "/" at the end of your URL and sometimes not. Choose one or the other.

Make sense?

Yes, rolough. Sticking with one URL format all the way is the way to go, so that some of your back linking efforts do not end in fiasco.
