Hi

For some days the traffic of my site has reduced. What is the reason? Any idea to retain the traffic?

Did you update your site's content? I think it has something to do with it. Make it more interesting and spread it all over the internet.

Well, try to make contact and build back linking with qualitative sites. Most of the times poor sites with whom you back linked get ban for so many reasons, ultimately you losing your backlinks.

I have a wild idea -- how about you treat your website like the money making machine that it is supposed to be. If your car is performing poorly, then a mechanic plugs a diagnostic tool into the car's computer to read codes and figure out what is wrong. With a website, you can do the same thing.

You need to get a tool or plug in to perform analytics, and see just where your traffic is coming from. How much is from search engines, how much is from referring sites (backlinks) and how much is direct type in traffic?

What keywords are the search engines delivering traffic on? Has your site dropped in the rankings for any keywords?

Come to that, how much of your traffic is new visitors and how much is repeats looking for new material? What is your bounce rate, average time on site per visitor and how many pages does the typical visitor look at?

First find out what is really wrong, then you will know what to fix.

I think the new google Panda algorithm is totally effected your site due to weak or duplicate content on your site.
Try to re write you site content.

I can suggest you for social book marking tips for retaining your traffic but rather than concentratring on retaining that traffic first you should concentrate on Why traffic has been reduced that much. You are supposed to do some research work for this!

Update your website's content. You should update it regularly so that it can generate traffic. You can also use social networking sites and share something about your website. Also consider what your website is all about.

If you've noticed the traffic die off recently it could be from Panda, or as others have said, you may need to update your content, like offer your user's something more interesting than what you have. Which site has the problem?

If you updated your page/content ie: Headline, Body text etc...bots need to reevaluate the new content. Stick to the same content and wait a few days to get a Static ranking and traffic will be back.
