Hi all,

I've got a quite new blog (2.5 months old) at: Web marketing, Blogging tips, Social media tips and SEO | AkosBlog
I want to do some effective keyword research now.
Could you recommend some internet based free keyword research tools?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Akos

Doubt anyone will give you any keywords! I recommend just using googles keyword tool. Start off quite broad, then start using it's longer suggestions and plugging those back in. Once you have found a few long tails that get quite a few searches research them and fine out the competition.

It's a longish method but it's probably one of the best.

For a free keyword tool your best bet is the google keyword tool, that is basically where most of the paid keyword tools get their data from anyway.

If most of the paid tools get data from Google's, than it means that Google Tool is better than other tools.

I'd recommend Market Samurai, the keyword research module is 100% free and it's great to use, when it's working....

Not free, but I'd recommend investing in Keyword Sniper Pro 2.0, it pays for itself in no time with all the valuable long-tail keywords you'll find.

Google Analytic tool helps to select the site related keywords. It also helps to find the competition level, local monthly search counts and global monthly search counts.

Yes, there are various keyword research tools you can employ, but considering my knowledge and latest versions of these keyword research tools, Keyword Elite and Market Samurai are the best ones ( at least for me ).
