Hi Warrior, Few minutes ago a came across about an article on back link building. In a nut shell, i saw that in order to get on first page of google, someone needs to include both edu and gov back link to his website. I want to ask that where can someone get this links i.e edu and gov for FREE. Thanks

Its not necessary that your site must have .gov or .edu backlinks in order to be in top 10. Most of .gov and .edu links are spammed to death because everyone wanted to place link there.

People want to add their links on those .gov or .edu sites only because most .gov and .edu got high PageRank, and just like "gittar" said, many .gov and .edu sites have been spammeed to death, so try to find some less-spammed high PageRank sites, it's more worthy.

So if your sites are ranking well without edu you think they are not worth it. They are and I saw huge difference after creating edu backlinks from forum profiles. I moved up and they did really good job. I think it is better have them than don't, but it is up to you. Since you don't have same web sites to compare and test your sentence is not accurate.

Matt Cutts stated in no uncertain terms that they do not value .edu or .gov sites any more than any other site. I wish I could give you the link here in the WF to the thread that the video was posted in, but I don't have it any more. So you can go on thinking what you think as I can't disprove you, but I know what I saw, and Matt states different.

Well I don't know Matt Cutts because I learn from other people, but I used edu alone and get great results and many other WF members did, so it is hard to say exactly, maybe he works in Google , just joking. Of course it will be very interesting to watch this video.

I thought everyone knew Matt Cutts. If you Google him, you will find he is an engineer with Google. I think his specialty is the spam. He acts as a spokesman for Google and publishes a YouTube channel that answers questions on SEO and other stuff.

I learn from Dan Thies, Jerry West and others. Ok I will try to find this video. But as I said before a lot of WF members gave good feedbacks to people that sell and give away edu backlinks and I saw improvement on my own web sites.

Always Google is the ultimate source of every information. To find .edu and .gov backlinks you can try these types of string to search in Google.
      • site:.edu+ "Your Keywords"+"Leave a comment"
      • site:.edu+ "Your Keywords"+"Give a comment"
      • site:.edu+ "Your Keywords"+"comments"
      • site:.edu inurl:forum "Your Keywords"

Use exact format of the strings ( site:.edu+ "Your Keywords"+"Leave a comment") and for .gov links just change .edu to .gov.

      Have a nice SEO journey.

Here is a free list of 93 .gov blogs that accept comments that I posted elsewhere on the forum. If you want them, to to http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...-93-sites.html

No cost and no log in required. I will not even know if you download it or not. Totally free. I just posted them because I harvested them. I used them once, and they are free for you, just don't spam them please or the web master will more than likely close them off. These are the root domains, you will have to find the threads to post on yourself.

To use comments are the worst idea ever. Of course they will be spammed because they are shared for free, even if you buy packet of comments you have no guarantee and most of the time it is the time matter only.

If anyone has any sense, they will read an open post and then comment on it, replying or commenting on the post, and then leave your link. I sign off my comments with 'webmaster of' and they hyper link the keyword. I have heard that the link is better placed in the comment itself. That way you can use your name and then your keyword is still linked and you get your site noted for the keyword, which is what gets you higher in the serp. And isn't that what you want?

Yes but this is not people like to do. This method you mentioned is really great but it takes time to read all post and leave a valuable comment. People like to spam because it is easier, so if you buy comment packet it will be spammed very fast.

I know what you mean, but life is tough and then you die.

You can tell people what it takes, and then it is up to them what they do with the information. I prefer to do it automatically, but I only get a 20% success rate, and then who knows how many of those will get deleted after-wards? I am just going to have to do some manual posting. And that is just the way it is. I am a new user of Scrapebox so I am still getting used to it.
