I have created a lens but it seems that google is not indexing it...I also used social bookmarking sites but still no luck...

Apparently, most of the time it is due to a lack of content on the page.

Go "view page source" in your browser and look at the first few lines of code. If you see something like
    <meta name="robots" NO INDEX

This is squidoo telling google not to index your page, because it does not hold value, as there is not enough content on the page.

I did this recently, added more content and the NO INDEX section was removed from the code within hours.

However, after a week, it is still no indexed so I can not confirm how long, if at all, it will take google to crawl the page again and recognize the change.

You might want to ping your lens to get it to index faster. Google can take up to a week to index content, especially when you don't have very much of it.

But if you do have decent content, and it's just taking forever, then...

      1. Go to Pingler.com and Pingoat.com.

      2. Put your Squidoo URL lens into both pingers and submit. Ping only once per site, otherwise the search engines get ornery.

      3. Wait a few minutes. You should be indexed. If not, you may have to wait a day (lots of new content coming on board).

Pinging simply tells search engines, "Ay, I got some new content here." Sometimes, the search engines need a little bit of a nudge.

simonbuzz Use the new progress meter on the side of your lens. If your progress isn't far enough, Squidoo will make it a non-indexed lens and you will need to simply follow some of the things to get your lens listed. If you are adding a fair amount of content you should never have an issue getting a lens indexed. Try adding more modules and information and republish, Google should have it indexed shortly after that.

    Best wishes,
    Sylvia

How long have you been waiting? I had a lens once that didn't get indexed for a few days. It had enough content and was a good lens, I have no idea why it took so long but it did. I did everything I usually do with my lenses but nothing helped with this one particular lens. I just waited a few days and then it got indexed.

Usually they do get indexed reasonably fast, but first check your status percentage as Sylvia suggested and if you do have enough content, etc then it might just be a matter of waiting a couple of days.

If there is no issue in your lens like restricting Google to index it then try pinging your lens. If you have any old free wordpress or blogger blog then post random content there and put hub link inside content, and your lens will be indexed within short time.

    Thanks
