Hi

I have done a split test on my webpage and found out that I get more traffic from google if I squeeze all the info on one long page rather then having the information spread on two or more.

Should I always try to squeeze all the info + the sell button on one page?

Any advice from SEO experts?

thx

if the content are very similar related and ranking for the same keyword then it is good to make them into 1 page. If they are targetting different individual keywords then seperate them.

  • what is variation of traffic when you put all your content in one page rather than spreading them in different pages? i have visited very high page rank websites that have their contents in different pages rather than in one page. so i need to compare the traffic rate.

The content matter, not the size of the content. Make as many pages as you want, but try to put some unique content in to get success.

Google loves content, but there is a limit that it gets too much.

Personally I try to write 500-600 words MINIMUM per page I create and max of around 1200 words.

After that it just gets ridiculous.

Longer pages have the advantage of keeping people on your page for a longer period of time, which can actually effect rankings (in a good way).

The downside of squeezing all the content in one page is that you don't reap the interlinking benefits that you otherwise would have when you have multiple pages pointing to eachother.

Like most things I think it's a thing of moderation.

    How long is too long...

If one page is enough then all blog might have died.
I think you are not getting traffic from google just because you are having one page.
