Hi Everyone,

I've read on the forum that the non important pages like terms, privacy etc ... should have the 'nofollow' tag added to them ...

If that is right, on the likes of a site I work on, creditsolutions4all.co.uk ... would it be advisable adding the 'nofollow' tag to the following pages or should I leave some as they are or should I add more pages to the 'nofollow' list ?

Disclaimer | Copyright | Resources | Add URL | Links | Contact
FAQ's | Site Map | PDF's | News Releases ???

I've also got a couple of banners on that home page - would fellow Warriors recommend adding the 'nofollow' tag to the html code for those banner ads ?

Thanks in advance everyone for any help and advice ...

NoFollow is used for not passing the link juice and to some extent as much i have monitored the system - nofollow links do crawl and they are marked as backlinks by google.

but i would suggest using it...

So don't add the 'nofollow' tag to my disclaimer, privacy, terms pages ?

Sorry for double checking but I'd read somewhere in the forum to add the 'nofollow' tag to those internal pages.

I have never noticed that it makes any difference at all.

      Hi,

Don't worry about it...the main reason you would want to do that is if you are building hundreds of web sites and using the same privacy pages (etc) on each of them and you want to hide your footprint of all those sites at the search engines.

If you're working with just one site...there's really no reason at all to do it. Crafting/sculpting PR Link juice is mostly hogwash at this point...

Yes, you are advisable to ad No Follow tag to unimportant pages like you have mentioned by yourself, privacy, disclaimer, contact us, but make sure not to add "no follow" tag to site map and home url as search engine really in love with these pages.

    Regards

Just add nofollow tag to those pages which are not to be promoted.
