How to improve Google page rank and traffic?

My site traffic down these days and key words didn't rank high after doing SEO for the last 4 months. Anyone can advise me how to do it?
My site is an Art for Sale site.

    Based on your Alexa rank it looks like you are doing pretty good driving traffic. I think you just need a higher number of backlinks as I see you count is just above 1,000 in YSE and about 3,100 in MajesticSEO.

    Since your website is pretty mature, I would recommend having a number of backlinks built including articles, web 2.0, profile and blog comments.

    Also be sure to use the anchor text that you are trying to rank for as your backlink.

    One of the best ways to boost your website's SEO, is to have RELEVANT back links pointing to your site. And you'll need a lot of them. Without a high number of these links you can't achieve search engine rankings high enough to deliver visitors.

    There are so many ways with which you can increase the traffic. As per my opinion you have to make a relevancy of keywords, contents which you can write then you can get quality backlinks then only you can targeted a visitors.

    Here are some tips to improve your sites google ranking and increase traffic.
    1. I know this seems obvious but I can't stress the importance of good content. If you don't have good content now then keep adding to your site.
    2. Make the website design simple and attractive so that it will be easy for your customers to navigate and find what they are looking for. My point is that your pages should not lead to a dead-end. Pages should have links to other pages.
    3. Place primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the document. Try and have it read like it would if you were talking with a friend.
    4. Research and choose the right keywords or key phrases to attract your target audiences. If you know what's important to your customers then you would focus on those keywords.
    5. Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page like Title, META Tags, Headers, etc.
    6. Submit your every web page and not just the home page, to the most popular search engines and web directories. Ensure that all submissions are done manually. Do not use any automated software or submission service.
    7. Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high.
    8. Monitor your competitors and the top ranked websites to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, etc. It is easier to copy then to try and figure it out on your own.
    9. Use statistic reports from your web hosting company to see where your traffic is coming from. Analyze your visitor location and their incoming sources whether search engines or links from other sites and the keywords they used to find you.
    10. Demonstrate your industry and product or service expertise by writing and submitting articles for your website or for article directories so you are perceived as an expert in your field. Make use of websites that will give you quality back links and remember when creating back links that quality is better than quantity.
