Site Dropped 2 Pages for the 2nd Time in 3 Months! Google Dance AGAIN????

Back in February, I had gotten a site to the number 3 spot on Google for a keyword with 1.8 million results. It dropped to page 3 on Thursday February 24, the day that the Google Panda update occurred. Not sure if that's a coincidence, or if it was just a Google dance, but regardless, it dropped

Up until that point, I had relied heavily on Scrapebox mass posting, but after the site dropped I started focusing much more on PR2-4 links with less spammy comments. I also used a sandbox/penalty rescue service I found out about on another forum, did a link pyramid, and did one 9,000 link Xrumer blast. Within about 6 weeks, I got back to the number 4 spot, and ultimately the number 2 spot. Life was good

Then today (another Thursday) I noticed my site is back down on page 3

I have not heard of people being the victim of a second Google dance. Is this possible? Or could it be because I have done very little link building since getting to the #2 spot?

Help me out please, cuz I'm kinda freakin' out
#2nd #dance #dropped #google #months #pages #site #time

Mostly after a xrumer blast you will get increase in SERP,But there will be huge decrease if google finds footprint. That why i keep advising people don't do xrumer blast for money site less than 2 years.

In your case,The actual position of your site is the third page, temporarily it comes to page1.So build more manual links than automated.Try to get more links and add some unique content this will get your site increase and get back the place.

Here's the thing: of those 9000 Xrumer links, only 341 of them actually got indexed by Google

Is that enough to make a substantial difference, both in the "re-rise" of the site as well as the fall?

P.S. The site will be two years old next month

Actually 314 indexed links is considered low,But the blast of those 9000 still gives you rise, even if it is not indexed.
Fall happen because your competitors have more backlinks than you so when next google update your site came to original position. So temporarily you can get rise. But you need to obtain more number of links than your competitors to stick your place in ranking.

See, that is what I don't understand. There is only one site on page one that has more backlinks than mine, and mine as more high PR2+ links than anyone else

How old are the other sites? How does your On-site SEO stand up to theirs?!

There's a lot of factors and Xrumer blasting isn't going to solve anything b/c MOST auto approve blogs are junk. 314 out of 9000 is a ridiculously low conversion! That's why un-intelligent/un-researched Scrapebox and Xrumer blasts are pointless.

Post some articles on different article directories with your keyword anchored backlink... Find auto approve blogs... RSS Feeds... Directories... Yahoo!//AOL Answers... Squidoo//Hubpages... Forum Sigs//Profiles... Etc.

I have a site that sits at #1 for several targeted search phrases... It danced around for 4 months or so... Every time I built a bunch of new backlinks I'd drop from page 1/2 to page 8-13 or off Google completely, then bounce back to even higher than I was before... This is how the Google dance works.

You want vertical movement in the SERPs you have to put in the work... If you put in a good amount of work you're site is going to dance around and settle. See where it settles - if you don't like where it settles put in more work...

            Get the picture?!

            CHEERS!

P.s. I saw in the OP that you were paying attention to the total number of search results (1.8mil or something). Pay that no mind because it means NOTHING in terms of competition.

Just do the Site Reconsideration... If you had done it when I left the previous post ^^^^ you'd be ranking by now...

Yeah I've done it for a couple of sites... Just told Google in their little message box that I removed/added/changed pages and permalinks and it hurt my rankings...

Did the Site Reconsideration.... they told me there is nothing to show that I have been spamming

Since this happened, I have been doing a lot of good backlinking, i.e. elaborate link pyramid, high PR page commenting, etc. Just praying it comes back

spamming blogs and creating elaborate "link pyramids" is not considered good backlinking. Create a good quality site and the rankings will follow.
