Hi Everyone,

I'm starting a blog and one of the benefits of blogs is that regular updates improve your Google ranking. But my question is for SEO benefit do you post your updates/posts as new pages on your domain or simply ill it up on the main page?

I.E.

www.mydomain.com/post1keyword

www.mydomain.com

As I understand having a separate page would open up great SEO benefits, but wouldn't that reduce the positive side of regular updates on one page?

Also if you do post a separate page and on the home page, where do you post the content first?

Thanks,

Sam

I'm confused by your question. A blog creates new separate pages with every new post. Adding a new post adds a new page to your blog every time. Nobody would add a new 'page' (as opposed to a new post) for every new blog entry.

If I understand you question correctly. I typically use a static home page so I can focus the SEO on my home page. Then a separate page to feature posts. Not really into ever changing content on my home page so Google can never really dig its teeth in. Its always worked for me.
