Here's a Tip For Testing If You're Site is Viable

Probably nothing most don't already know, but I thought I'd tell you about an experiment I recently ran. I wanted to see if my new little mini site would convert if it had targeted traffic.

So... I paid $19 and submitted a press release on webwire. Over the next 5 days the site made about $50 on ~60-80 visitors/day. All the traffic was from the press release.

So what does this mean? To me it's a great way to check to see if your site will convert assuming you get traffic. Knowing the potential of this site now, I'm willing to invest either time or money in backlinks, etc.

I know everyone can't pay the $19 to submit the press release, but if you can it's a great way to test the viability of a site.

Not to mention I got a lot of backlinks from the press release and all the sites that picked it up.

I agree a press release is instant traffic and its arguably the best backlinks.

You have to spend money to make money. Most of the time .

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Stop thinking only about helping yourself achieve your goals, and start thinking helping others help you achieve your collective goals.

I'm going to submit another one in a few days just to see if this is repeatable. I am initially more concerned with seeing if the site converts. But heck, if I can spend 20 and make 50...
