My first site is exactly one month old today. I am ranking 12th on google page 2 for my keyword. I'm getting anywhere from 5 to 3 uniques per day.

Does this seem like im on track? Do I need to change my strategy or will it take more time for me to get higher up the ranking?

Only 3-5 uniques per day and you are on page 2? Hmm i would change the niche. How many searches does your niche has?

    Google keyword tool says

    Global Monthly Searches - 18,100
    Local Monthly Searches - 9,900

for my main keyword. By the way its a sniper site.

    Thats broad

    exact is
    720
    390

Does that mean I need to change my niche?

Well 720 a month exact will mean that if you rank no 1, you can expect around 320 visits a month (just a rough guide based on the stats that 45% of search traffic goes to number 1).

So the question you need to ask yourself is, would you be happy with 320 hits a month? If what you are selling earns you $100 a sale, then you would only need 10 sales to make $1k a month. If that's not the case you may want to consider new keywords.

Definitely, that's pretty good for only a month old.

I am experimenting with sniper sites to see how I can do with them. I have built this site based on a very narrow niche. My goal is to make at least 300 dollars per month with this site. The affiliate product gets me around 30 dollars per sale.

Should I be able to make this?
Am I on the right track to making this goal?

    • With an exact keyword you would have had more succes, maybe you should go wide and do some long tail keywords so that you can get some UV from other keywords.
