Market Samurai isn't working for me and the problem is that the google keyword tool isn't working either. When I try to seach for a keyword, the following message appears:

Please try your request again later. Why did this happen?

This page appears when Google automatically detects requests coming

computer using the same IP address may be responsible. Learn more
Sometimes you may see this page if you are using advanced terms that

Has anyone got a clue on how can I fix this?

You should start a support ticket at Noble Samurai so they are aware of the issue, I had some issues with the google keyword stuff in there this morning too and have already submitted a ticket

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm going to request a ticket.
Is google keyword tool working fine for you now? or haven't they still resolved the problem?

        Hello John A and Lukemeister,

I am having the same problem it seems. I did some extensive research with Market Samurai on Sunday. I was using the new keyword search feature where you have to use an Adwords account to get a full list of relevant keywords. At first it was fine, then it started prompting me for the captcha, then near the end of the day it just stopped returning results. When I logged directly into my Adwords account and attempted a keyword tool search, I received the:

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. Please try your request again later. Why did this happen?"

(It also has my IP address and time stamp)

I can use the keyword tool without logging into Adwords, but as soon as I login and try to run a search, I get this message. I've tried multiple locations but it is connected to my Adwords account and not a specific computer. It's been 2 1/2 days. I have read different accounts as to how long the suspension lasts. Some say a couple hours, some say 24 hours or 48 hours, but I'm past all those times and it still doesn't work.

I though maybe I was banned but I can still login to the Adwords account and I have not received any notices within the account or any emails to the linked gmail account.

I tried releasing the IP, clearing the cache, using different computers, requesting a review of my IP from Google (good luck!), I uninstalled SEO Quake, uninstalled Firebug, tried disabling active monitoring from my antivirus, ran McAfee scan, Hijack This scan, TrendMicro Housecall scan, and Malwarebytes scan. Also, yesterday I put in a ticket with Market Samurai, but with all there problems lately, they have a 72+ hour turnaround on tickets. I'm not holding my breath.

Meanwhile, I was approved for an Adsense account, so I must not be in that much trouble (However, it was under a different email address, but I used the same name and address info as my Adwords account.)

I am seriously out of ideas. This definitely concerns me as I am focusing a lot of effort into creating quality niche websites to run Adsense. Has anybody else had this happen? What was the outcome? Do we know how long the typical overuse suspension is? (Probably not, but...) Is there perhaps another cause for this unusual traffic other than my extensive use of Market Samurai?

Thanks and good luck. Hopefully we can figure this out.

Hi protectmyzen, one whole day have passed and I still can't search keywords when I am logged in into my account.

I have checked the Terms of Service of Google's keyword tool, and I think that MS might be the problem:

"5.3 You agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services by any means other than through the interface that is provided by Google, unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a separate agreement with Google. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services through any automated means (including use of scripts or web crawlers) and shall ensure that you comply with the instructions set out in any robots.txt file present on the Services." (google's terms of service)

Will wait and see what happens...

    Update:
I'm happy to see yours is working Lukemeister. I just checked mine and it is also working now. Yeah! I haven't checked MS yet, but if the Adwords search is working, then it probably is too.

So, for others that are having this issue.

    What caused it:
The likely cause was the fact that I used the Adwords feature to generate search results in Market Samurai. I used it all day long on Sunday. I would filter the results before doing the analysis, but I don't think it mattered because I did so many searches. Also, I did one major search where I dropped a couple thousand keywords in the program and tried to run it.

    Why it came back:
I don't know if there was a particular time limit punishment (65 hours?). Maybe, but...
The likely fix was that I submit my ip address, name, and Adwords email address to the Adwords customer support review team yesterday. When I noticed it was working again just now, I checked my email and less than 2 hours ago I got an email for an "Adwords Help Center Feedback Survey". I don't think that was a coincidence.

    Now what:
I suggest either not using the Adwords feature, or when you do, use it to generate a list, then go back to the keyword generator screen and turn it off. Otherwise, I think it still accesses the keyword tool through your Adwords account when you are analyzing the data, checking the competition, etc. I think it might be good to use the Adwords function sparingly, such as when you need to generate an extensive list of longtail keywords. I found that using the keyword tool through Market Samurai without using the Adwords account still works well (even though it only returns <100 keywords). Also, you need to have proxies turned on, however it won't keep your Adwords account from being blocked if you are going through that in MS. I intend to spread out my research over several days from now on. What a PITA.

    John A,
I suggest submitting your request for review to the Adwords help desk.
As far as MS not complying with the TOS. It probably doesn't, that's why we have to use proxies. I'm not sure if MS has an agreement with Google. Who knows? Probably not. The fact of the matter is that not using it in this business, is like going back to the horse and buggy after driving a car.

    Good luck to everyone else.

It was a time limit punishment. I have had this happen to me before, and I didn't do a darn thing about it (no support tickets, etc), and within 24 hours it was up and running again. It just happens when you "spam" the server too much, and it gets removed once you have stopped hitting the server for a certain amount of time.

Ugh...it just happened to me for the first time. I assume this is something new with Google.

So, correct me if I'm wrong....the solution (when using MS) is to turn OFF or 'unselect' the Google Keyword Tool - Account? Is that all? I heard someone else mention masking my IP...but I really don't want to get into all of that - I just want to research a few niches and keywords.

Mandark - You may be right that it was a time limit punishment. I don't know for sure, but it would be a strange coincidence that almost the same time I was allowed to make searches again I received a customer support review email.

hellingent - I'm sure you are aware that MS recently added the feature where you can login to your Adwords account. A search query without logging into your account will result in <100 keywords. When you are logged into the Adwords account, you get <800 keywords. My theory is that because you are logged into a single Adwords account, that it doesn't matter if you use proxies or any other method to hide your PC because all the searches get run through your account. Eventually they will shut you down if you over search. I think that most of the results from the 800 keyword search are going to be useless unless you are looking for long tail keywords, so most of the time I select "search without Adwords account" in the drop down menu. In addition, when I do use the Adwords account to do a search, I change the selection back to "search without Adwords account" before I proceed to the analysis page. I don't know for sure, but I suspect the queries would continue to be run through your Adwords account during analysis if you don't change it back. That said, I'm no expert, it just makes logical sense. I'm hoping not to get suspended again.
