No more Xfactor Article writing method for Ezine?

Ok so I've been out of the game for awhile. Did Ezine stop letting people link to sites irrelevant to the topic of their article or did I just come back and get the only douche proof-reader? 3 articles declined 4 times each due to this same reason.

Yes i got this the other day when i submitted my most recent article. They said no unrelated links, and therefore i'm completely DONE with Ezine. And life will go on just fine. Screw them.

Umm... also no, they no longer allow ANY backlinks.

Yup, since that Farmer update I'm sure Ezine is scrambling to improve quality. They've been doing it for a long time now, but I'm sure they've increased their efforts ever since the actual update. I used to check compete.com and they were losing traffic long before the update. Google must have been slowly testing it for about a year or a year and a half.

Exactly. I stopped using Ezine at the mid of 2009 and when I restarted early 2010 I noticed a huge change:-)

One of their 'tips' emails addressed this a few days ago. It specifically says that links should be relevant. Here is a little clip from the email:

A fitness article should link to a fitness-related website, not a site selling premier cruise destinations or auto repair.

There you go - no more weight loss or relationship articles to sell patio furniture

Let's make one thing clear, you don't need EZA to rank a micro-niche site

But you should also diversify a little away from the classic Xfactor model - after all John did a long time ago

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise
