I'm looking to dominate my name in google lots of pages coming up with reviews and I want to gain control of the market.

As the name is the brand its highly important.

I've decided on a plan to setup some micro sites around 20 of them and get them all indexed for my name with unique content with an article or two in each one.

Or use my default domain - myname.com and add the 20 pages there and get them indexed?

Also looking to outsource some of the work aswell. Who would you use from here?

Without knowing the name or brand name you're going for it's difficult to know how competitive it will be.

I find the quickest way to get indexed well is by submitting keword rich articles to ezinearticles.com and the other major ezine sites.

If you search Google with the phrase 'profitable domain name speculation' my article appears near the top.

    Hope this helps. Peter Twist

hey mate, yeah I know the competition and I know I can dominate it on that basis.

Are there people who can specialise in ezine submissions?

If you mean your "REAL" name - as in "John Smith" - make sure (if you haven't already done so) to set up a Google profile too.

Well, I own 13 of the first 20 slots on Google for my name.

The first slot is always a see-saw, with a plastic surgeon
      from California

There are 20,500,000 results for 'Dr.Mani', btw!

If you run the search, you'll see the diversity of sites on
the SERPs. Social profiles are great. So are the domains
you own, you can focus each on one aspect of your work or
      brand.

      Hope this helps.

      All success

You'll definitely want to create profiles at the big social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. Those will all rank well.

Make sure to have your domain name and get some content up there. The other thing to do is do some guest posting on larger blogs and high pr blogs.

This will help you dominate Google.

You won't get more than 2-3 results on a keyword for a single domain. You'd need to purchase between 8 and 12 domains, I think, to dominate the first two pages. Do this, in addition to FB, Twitter, and whatnot, and you'll be good.

Do you have urls already in place that you want to see in the top 20? If not you should put some web 2.0 stuff together.

There are ways to rank Youtube videos. In order to get them to rank, you have to optimize them for Youtube's search engine first, and get traffic to them. Once they start to get traffic and build pagerank (each video has its own PR), they will start to rise in Google. Having a video embedded in a lot of sites helps too.

    Guys,

    Been working on this.

The name is the brand, I've already got everything social and web 2 setup

I want to go down the articles route and have various articles/reviews about the products

we have 3 reviews on the brand in the top 4 that need to be pushed out so my idea was to promote the pages/3rd party below that are neutral or positive.

Can I just backlink those pages?

So for example one could be www.someoneelseswebsite.com/review

And I then promote and backlink those ones that are reviews we like?
