I had a site sitting at page one #3 on Google for over a month (the site is five months old) then on Thursday this week it was DE-indexed from Google... I have done nothing to the site since it has been on page one!!!

Anyone got any ideas about the possible cause.. or how to find a remedy???
:confused::confused:

    Are you sure that it's been de-indexed? Sometimes they drop way down the rankings for a while and come back stronger than ever. If you put site:yourdomain in a search engine and it comes up not found then it will have been.

    It could be what Google considers thin content or one of the other reasons that you will find on Google webmaster tools.

    Then you need to sort out what is wrong and apply for reconsideration. It happened with one of mine that had been offline for a while but I just kept adding some fresh content that was unique to that site and it got indexed again.

    Hi - Sometimes it happens. Google gets a bad smell and off you go. Not much you can do about it but wait for the penalty to pass (if it does). It may also bounce back next week to a higher position. Here's hoping. Regards allen

      My blog wasn't de indexed I found it went back 30 pages only to return too page two the following week. It is relatively new at 3 months old and no backlinks. Just fresh content.

        My advice is to begin to promote your website. Build some high quality backlinks pointing back to it, submit your rss feed to the rss directories, add more content and your site will came back.

          Yes there is something that you can do about it, find out why, sort it out and add regular original content then ask for reconsideration. The penalty won't pass if it's been de-indexed, nor will it bounce back higher.

          If it's been de-indexed all of that won't make the slightest bit of difference

    Update your website regularly with each posts of 500-600 words.Then create more back links..Your site should be back by then.

        That's great, it won't have been de-indexed, just Google messing around. My best earner was ranked 3rd for it's keywords until 3 days ago, went totally out of the top 1000 but it's at 634 today. I would be surprised if it doesn't come back as strong if not stronger but it's blooming frustrating waiting for it.
