I need some feedback from the SEO Experts.

I have a site that is information based. Part of the site has a page dedicated to each state in the US and has a call to action corresponding to the specific information for each state.

I don't want to take away for the CTA by including anything in the sidebars for these specific pages although it is not likely that someone looking for this information is going to be looking for info on another state.

I am contemplating adding a unique sidebar for these pages for SEO purposes that would be a list of links to the other 49 states.

As I mentioned, it's not likely that the visitor will click on another state due to the topic, so this wouldn't detract from the CTA.

Would having 50 pages, each linking to another 49 pages and all of them interlinking together be beneficial or a hindrance in terms of SEO? That would be approx 2500 links internally, all keyword anchored.

Appreciate any insight.

  • If a user is not going to click through what is the point?

A simple sitemap will tell Google what it needs to know to index everything.

Sounds to me like you site has a lot of repetitive content and little cohesiveness. So your ability to rank will depend more on an approach that targets highly specific keyword phrases and you traffic will come primarily from those phrases appearing in search.

That approach works fine. Focus your effort on Onsite SEO and Branding.

I use wordpress for almost everything now and with the right template and plugin set you can do just about anything.

I believe you would be better served using a plugin that displays related content rather than just a huge list of every other link on your site.
