Maxed Out RAM Limits = SEO Problems?
- SEO |
Our hosting provider has imposed memory (RAM) usage limits via CloudLinux on a per-account basis. Whereas any one account used to be able to hog RAM resources on a shared server, that's no longer the case.
Unfortunately for us, several of our sites are hitting that RAM limit on a regular basis. These sites are built using Wordpress, and we have a WP ninja on the case to determine why the sites are consuming so much RAM.
In the meantime, I am left wondering whether and to what extent these memory faults could affect our rankings. For the most part, the sites appear fine if you navigate to them, and conversion looks pretty normal. However, we know from the Resource Usage section of our Cpanels that, multiple times per day (or even per hour), "the application hasn't been able to execute properly due to memory limit."
So my question is: will G's spiders see this kind of thing when crawling the site? Will it affect rankings? And should we rush to migrate our sites to a new host...like right now...instead of waiting several days to get the analysis back from our ninja?
Any insight or advice you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
