questions about backlinks

I purchased 300 high PR profile links from a Warrior in the WSO section nearly 7 weeks ago, hoping to add some link juice to my site. When I check for links using Backlink Watch , Yahoo Site Explorer etc, it is only showing 2 of those links, and yet when I type my URL into Google, it brings up 124 search results - and many of these are from the 300 profile links that I purchased. Does this mean that the links that are displayed in the search results are indexed?

If I type link:http://mydomain.com/ into Google it says that it does not find any matches. So does this mean that Google does not recognise any of those links. I am confused

The links were pinged as part of the backlinking package, I have also re-pinged them myself, created RSS feeds in blocks of 50 at freerssfeedgenerators.com, and I pinged these feeds at pingler.com, and yet they still seem to be doing no good at all - my site is still not in the top 100 for a keyword that should be fairly easy to rank for. Can anyone offer any advice please?

Also, when building links, should they all link to the main domain of your site or should you have some linking to individual pages of the site, if so, approximately what percentage.

Thanks in advance

Dave

When building links you will want to build links to all of your money pages. Many times the front page of a site isn't really the page that makes you the most money. Sometimes it it easier to optimize a deeper page for the keywords that you are looking for. If this is the case then you will want to build links to those pages. Any page that you can get to the top of the rankings is good. You asked for a percentage, I have never really worried about a percentage. I think after a while you just keep building and it all falls into place before it is said and done. Now when it comes to anchor text you want no more than 20% anchor text from each keyword pointing to a page. Doing more than that may look unnatural.

As far as getting those indexed, many times you will not get all of them indexed since they are just profile links, and the fact that they are not strong links. The other thing is after a while you will see them falling off your link profile after a while. When checking, yahoo is the better to check your links since they track more links than google does.

n_touch, you don't just want to link to your money site, this could get your site de-indexed from Google. A friend of mine had that. He was linking all to his money site, and now he has to start new sites, since Google no longer ranks them. I would suggest buying link pushes. Good luck.

You need to wait for the pages to be get indexed in google search engines in which your site appears. The backlink what you purchased are of same niche or of different, also how was the PR of your backlinks? Have you checked.

I'm wondering the same questions about SEO as you but, I feel like you maybe need to do some serious onsite SEO if you're still so low on google. My first site ever, I had within 2 weeks on the second page of google for an extremely competitive keyword.and # 9 for an easy keyword. I built backlinks manually in fear of how affiliate marketing worked. I'm now just waiting a few months until Google recognizes that my site has some age... but I know you can do it.

I'm interested in how your link package works out. I've never bought one, although sometimes it seems like the best route. keep us posted. Thanks again.

I'm wondering how those links work out though.

I don't have any proof of what i'm going to say...but i have some clue...

I've bought similar packages in the past and then I had a similar situation: no backlinks displayed on the most famous bl checker (Yahoo Site Explorer, Backlinkwatch, SEO Spyglass, etc.)

BUT I had a real increase in my SERP and when I checked on Google some of the package bl (info:http://my-package-url-page.com) it was found (so get indexed)...

IMHO, these kind of links (forum profiles and similar) rarely are collected from backlink chechers, expecially if the links are on low pagerank pages (pages and not domains!)...but they count for link juice and SERP boosting...
