What Happened To My Site?!

My first site is completely gone from google rankings, I was on the first page on the top half with my three main keywords for the first two weeks, then all of a sudden its gone.

I know about the term google has called "sandboxing" but I paid for my backlinks and only used Bookmarker Demon once, regretfully.

Am I on probation? will I rank again?
Very beaten down since it is my first site.

Any help appreciated.

    Google does this, it will either return within 5 days or it will be gone forever until you build links to it and promote it some more.

    It's incredibly fickle, hard to negotiate and gives no reasons. Remember that, and you'll do well!

      I agree with matt5409, sometimes google has a tendency to change up there indexing algorithms thus resulting in them dropping you for your main keywords.

      Try getting more targeted links to your site, that should fix the problem

      Thanks Matt, what an annoyance eh?! Well its gone for over a week, so i guess they dumped it. I knew my rankings were to good to be true. Its not like my site was viral or spam, its a blog site with a genuine review.

      Don't listen to this man.

      There are times when my sites are gone way longer than 5 days and it still came back without me building links to it.

      How many days u ask then. No one can really tell. It can be from days to weeks or even a month.

        You're right it takes times, days, weeks, and even months to update your website in the search engine. I would suggest to continue your link building and improve it well.

          Trying do a google search for site:yoursitename.com

          If it appears it just means your site is doing the Google dance

          Keep building backlinks consistantly and you will see it re-appear. I have sites re-appear the next day and some sites that have taken 2 months to get back to the top position

    It happened to me once. I just ignored my rankings and kept writing and submitting articles. After a few days, my rankings returned and was restored back to its original position. Suddenly, it disappeared again. When I made enquiries, I discovered that one of the reasons is if I made major changes to my site's design. Google webmaster membership should give you a lot more info. It finally returned again when I continued writing and submitting articles and building backlinks without making major changes to my site's design. That was two years back.

    Best way to do is wait 5 to 10 days. Until that add some useful contents.

    I have sites that have disappeared recently from google, they also banned my adwords account, I have no idea why though. And they won't tell me.
