Best Method of Getting GOV and EDU Links

Hi everyone,

I've found it pretty easy to find "potential" gov and edu links by way of blog commenting, however, most of these blogs are moderated. I always provide valuable content, but I'm uncertain how to sneak my link in there with my anchor text.

I know that if I just entered my name, rather than anchor text in the comment form, it would be 100 percent approved, but because getting a backlink with my keyword is important I don't do that. Any tips or insights?

I would not waste much time pursuing a Link from a.gov or.edu domain. This is a very old rumor that they mean much.

If your business has something to do with government or education that is when it is appropriate to get a link from these domains.

Take for example retail domains like Amazon... They don't need any links from.gov even if there were small.gov links have nothing to do with retail. I know it's hard to ignore some of the things that you read but a lot of it is out of date just like repeating keywords many times on a page is out of date.

I don't know how good they are but I've seen some gigs on Fiverr where you can get edu and gov links. Might be worth a try for 5 bucks.

You'll never get through a moderated blog. Most of the time they just turn on moderation and never check it.

I spend literally hours upon hours to compile lists of auto approved gov and edu sites, its a whole lot of searching

It's hard finding them on your own however I do think they are powerful. I've been working on getting .edu backlinks on my own and once one got indexed, my site moved up two positions so I think they are strong. Fiverr is a starting point when getting .edu and .gov links and then there are people providing lists of them too.
