Somehow SEOBook's Rank Checker still works, but SEOBook's SEO for Firefox does not and SEOQuake does not...

CRAPPY!

Does anyone know of any similar/better Firefox plugins that I can replace this with?!

Thanks in advance!

I did not know that... I typically only ever use SEO Quake when I need it (toggle on/off) I'm familiar and customized all my parameters

FF4 is actually pretty cool now that I've played around with it a little more. Much more similar to Chrome.

Oh, and, SEO Book's Toolbar (Not SEO for Firefox) actually works... So does Rank Checker thank God!!! LOL!!!

Just downgraded back down to FF 3.6 as FF4 just broke to many addons for my liking, Roboform being the main one.

Firefox 4 also does not allow some add-ons like NoDoFollow. Speed and other things are okay but as many add-ons or plugins are not compatible with this version so SEO guys somewhere can find difficulties in using.

        Hi Steve,

You can still use roboform with ff4.

        - Rightclick on the roboform icon in the statusbar of the desktop

        - Click login and navigate to what you want to open and click

        - Page will open in a new tab

        Cheers,

Actually support for Firefox 4 has already been available, but sometimes SeoQuake for that version of Firefox doesn't work after update.

The thing is that we don't know why this happens, because after update some our customers are able to use SeoQuake for FireFox 4

In this case we recommend you to reinstall SeoQuake using this link: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/seoquake-seo-extension/

If you have any questions, please, feel free to contact us.

SEO Quake may work with FF4 but the button is gone so you have to have it visible all the time, what is the alternative? Being new to SEO Quake I haven't used it without the activate button so how do we control it otherwise?

By the way to Steve (above) Roboform have FF4 compatibility with the shared version, Roboform Everywhere, works a treat and not much money.

      Cheers, Keith

Just FYI - I've been using seobook's toolbar on FF 4, for over a week with no prob. I also found a work-around for the nodofollow addon, and have that working no prob on me FF 4. I switched from Robo to LastPass like a year ago, and never looked back.
My FF 4 is also synced to my Android--no probs.

I should mention I am running FF 4 on my Macbook, and just haven't bothered to update it on my PC.

Take a look in the comments for the nodofollow addon in Mozzila, and you'll find a link to the work-around download. Sorry, I don't have it handy.

I think You are facing some different problems and it is wrongly interpreted by browser compatibility, Because I am also using the same updated version of fire fox with using seo quake as same and there is not any problem as such I am facing; So before searching for some other plug ins I would like to suggest, First try to find out the original problem that may have!

Same here, FF4 was just too buggy and slow for me so rolled it back. It also broke Firebug as well (which is important) although it did say that Firebug was working but it wasn't. Also the reload button went AWOL

There is a way to switch off Firefox's compatibility check:

      1. Open a new tab type: about:config in the address bar and then press Enter (click ok to the warning)
      2. Right click anywhere in the page then click New, Bolean
      3. Copy or type the following pref name: extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0

Then click OK, then set the Value to False (default)

Then just Exit and restart Firefox, you should then have full access to your addons and plugins.

Any fix for SEO for FF plugin for FF 8.0?

    Figured it out...
After install of FF 8, go to SEObook site and reinstall the Plugins and click on the Allow button when asked by FF!

Guys, just switch back to the older version of Firefox itself. New Version is not for Internet Marketers like us. For normal browsing activities, use other browsers especially Chrome.

If you still need both old and new version , then install a virtual machine and use that for your IM stuffs.

You can use two different versions of Firefox on the same computer, I've just set it up following the instructions I found after googling this:
Can I use two different versions of Firefox on the same computer?

    It should the top result.

I'm gonna use the icon in my taskbar for surfing and the one on my desktop for IM'ing.
