Increased CTR Ideas

May you all recommend some ad placement ideas to increase my CTR?

Site in question: enterbf3.com

With the traffic, I should expect to make ~$40+ a day from this, and I'm making a fraction of that. A very low CTR . I've placed a large square ad on the front at the top of the page, but it had very little effect.

    That's the exact problem my friend is having he also said that, with that amount of traffic (which comes on his sites) he would earn more than 40$ per day but he is just earning b/w 9-10$.. i will suggest my friend to have a look at Natasha's answer may be it may help.. Thanks for it..

    Above the fold 336x280 ad block placement have always worked for me and i get 15% CTR with that.
