Targeting the UK instead of US - Is that a good Move?

Hey guys,

We've a PR service which had a very good ranking in the US. Though the position in the SEs were good (#2) we didn't have more than 5 orders/customers in a week. So thinking about also targeting the UK customers.

What changes would you suggest when targeting a different country customers?

With some constant SEO campaigns we could overtake many big PR firms in Google SERP and now the site has a #1 position in the UK though we're fairly new to this (its just an 18 months old service). Receiving a little less than the number of orders/clients that we had from the US. Do you think its fair to move on completely with the change?

Have got something to say about this? Please leave your suggestions and views on this.

Thanks for your time.

I suggest to rank well for long tail keywords because they convert more.

Internet marketers optimize for 2-3 words but people search for 5-6 and more words. This is the reason why people fail to convert well.
