I've been toild that it's always better to have your keyword as part of your domain name

My question is, in the following example, whether the search engines will treat all the same or show preference for one or two only

weightloss
weight-loss
allaboutweightloss
all-about-weight-loss

There are obviously many other alternatives with the keyword "weight loss", but which, if any, is best?

    Hello,

Go to the Wordtracker web site. You can sign up for seven days free to use their keywords tools and they also have very good training material on how to use these tools and stuff on SEO and other web site marketing information.

there are a million different opinions on this. Obviously weightloss.com is the best one to have But I don't think you'll be grabbing that anytime soon.

Personally I go for dashes, but many people have success just throwing a letter on the end - weightlossx.com

I think that trying to get the keyphrase first and then something after it is probably better but really thats just personal preference.

Exact match is always the way to go but if you can't get that and it's a niche you still want to go after then just get your keyphrase with dashes or something after it and you'll be fine.

to many dashes will just hurt your on page optimization. The shorter the domain name the better.
