Do all link plugins get penalty from google?

Hi,

I have many sites looking for ways to get them up google. I invested a little while ago in the Traffic Nirvana WP plugin. Although it does create some links and a little bit of (mostly useless) traffic, I have started taking it off some of my more serious sites as I am wondering whether its getting a penalty from Google.

Anyone else use this plugin?

What do you think?

    Don't know about that plugin as I've never heard of it but if it leaves a footprint and you were Google - what would you do?

      It definitely depends. It is just like with forum profile links. If you only do forum profiles it might hurt you. But if you add some blog comments (manual ones) and some articles it is a good way to do.

      I have been testing a few wordpress backlink plugins that you might want to check out as well.

      Automatic Backlinker does not have a great impact yet. The concept behind it is pretty cool tho as you can publish some articles. And SocialBacklinker is what you would normally do manually...

      After all it really depends on your strategy. Mix it up

    What is likely happening here is that sites that use those plugins are all crappy/spammy and not worth anything, anyway. So, the "link juice" you get from them is likely close to non-existent.

      I think you are right. I have looked at all of the links to and from my site it has added and they are pretty scrambled phrases. I bet most of the spammy comments I get come through them too.
