Will PR Update Help My SE Ranks?

I've been building links like crazy for my site the past 2 months. I now have 500-600 backlinks for the site but it's stuck on page 10. The site is only PR0 because I probably had very little backlinks at the time of the last update.

When the next PR update happens I expect to jump up to PR2 or PR3. Will this increase my SE rankings too or no?

Probably your page rank can increase but not sure no one, page rank depend good content, domain age, quality link building etc.

The updates of the publicly visible Pagerank has nothing to do with actual rankings. Publicly visible PR is an approximate of the ACTUAL PR and is often outdated by several months. Compared to that, the ACTUAL PR is calculated almost in real time and has immediate effect on your rankings.

So, while the publicly visible PR might be 0, Google already found your content and your backlinks and adjusted the SERPs, accordingly.

If you were building links for months and see no results, it could be because:

    1. The backlinks you built are worth nothing, and/or
    2. You selected super-competitive keywords.
