Weeding out "duds" in Adsense Ad Networks

Can anyone point me to any online source of information which can definitively or speculatively help define which of the 274 Google Certified Ad Networks are duds?

I've been experimenting with filtering some of these.

I would not block any of them. I would only block individual ads
using the competitive ad filter. There are better tools to block
    ads.

There are no "duds", actually, as each one targets something they
feel suits them. They might consider some sites as duds, however,
and not choose to bid on your site.

  • Out of 274 there are duds and those that do not perform. This is a given. There is no way they can perform equally.

Filtering is the only way to eliminate the lower performers who are leeching off your properties for pennies. It's in Google interest to sell off this excess inventory and it's in my interest to keep them off my properties.

I don't run any adsense campaigns that pay less than 50 cents a click and there is a reason for that.

While it's nice to voice an opinion I'm looking for someone who has some real world analysis or experience with these networks. Thanks.

I've never tried filtering them out. Maybe I could have earned a lot more doing so.
