My high traffic blogspot banned

Hi friends,

I have my free blogspot blog which has earned me nearly 5000 hits every month. I got approved by google adsense and i have it in my blog. I have followed all the best practices. But yet, it has been banned recently.

My blog is indexing for many keywords even in the first page of google. I thought it has been banned only because of it is free.

Did anyone have similar experience like this. I thought blogger is giving only some benefits to free blogspot blog and ban it, if it gets more profit at some point of time. however, when i bought some domain name from blogger and shifted my blog, i may get prevented from banning. Am i correct? what is your opinion about this.

Ps : i have used google adsense and some affiliate links in my website but no ads other than adsense.

Please help me find out the proper solution.

If your site got banned, I'd figure out what the problem is, rather than just moving it and risking another ban. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that blogspot is free though, or the amount that you're earning.

Sometimes google have some valid reason for banning like- some copyright violation, doing excessive link exchange in blogrol or refreshing your adsense blogs many times.
I have blog (see in signature) o blogspot and it getting daily more than 2k visitors, but never get banned.but yes, i always lives in fear that Google may ban it some day.

One of my blog banned , Reason- I was designing the theam and refresihing theam again & again to check its designing after setting and Google boot thought I am spamming it and it got banned.
have requested many times to Google ,but do not get any reply. Now I have forgotten that blog.

It also happened to me. The fact is I didn't spam. I figure Google hates Clickbank, because my blog had Clickbank affiliate links in it.

Google does not hate anything except a breaking of the rules. All rules.
Sadly, people don't read them, nor do they care.

Since blogspot is a google product, what do you expect them to do?

Google doesn't need nor want certain bloggers.

They must be gloating, however, over yahoo getting shanghaied!
But then, microsoft just can't do a thing right online, can they?

The reason people get their blogspot sites banned is mostly from spamming other blogspot sites comments that they don't own.

Easy solution, don't comment on any blogspot sites, ever!

Google can ban your blog when you use copy write content, many hyper links, create blog link roll exchange or blog designing refresh again and again.

        I have to comment here:

I've been using Blogger blogs for YEARS... and I've only ever had ONE banned, and that was a 'make money online' blog. Those they definitely don't like.

I keep my blogger blogs monetized with Adsense and Amazon products, and occassionally, I link to a freebie I offer in a niche.

Blogspot has incorporated both Adsense and Amazon into their monetization models, so they're ok with those two.

I also keep these blogs backed up, and I direct all my backlinks through a generic domain name, subdomain name 302 redirect, so if Blogger should ever decide to shut my blog down, I just upload it to a self hosted TLD or sub of a TLD and all my back link juice and SE rankings follow.

This is scary news about Blogger. I use Blogger to run my below site with a custom domain and I am now worried. I hate being banned anytime. May be I should move to own wordpress site soon.

In my experience, I found a great reason to disable blogger blogspot account is coping content. If it is not, then there may other reasons like violating blogger rules. Please try to find out the exact reason why they did.

Use your own domain, using another website is always a mistake in my opinion as someone else controls your income. Getting all that traffic taken away really sucks.

    Hope you find a solution,

Man that's gotta suck, sorry to hear.

It seems to be OK with Blogger to make money from your blog until it get's to BIG. Then they ban it.

It's been happening for the past few years. It even happened to the 2 Biggest "make money online" blogs in the industry. That's why it's vital importance to get your own hosting and domains.

Think about it for a moment..... If you have a high trafficked blog on Blogger, what are you doing for Blogger and what are they doing for you?

Getting banned on there is pretty much a story I keep reading over and over. You really, really, really need to buy your own domain and pay for hosting nowdays ( and even then days)

Just like adsense, blogspot is owned by google. So its always better to get your own domain.Blogspot can be very unpredictable at times. There was a very famous blogspot(moneymakerinfo dot blogspot dot com) blog used to rank number 1 for keyword 'make money online' for few years. However if I recall correctly,it got banned about a year back by google.

Thats a load of rubbish! Blogger has no limitations.. there are some blogspot blogs getting millions or uv's per month and run smoother than any wordpress site. Several of my blogger blogs get around 200k per month, 5k per month is nothing. I can show you several blogger blogs now with 2 million vistors a month.

Blogger doesn't like affiliate sites especially clickbank. It is allowed but then sometimes I can't understand what is allowed and whats not.

At the end of the day Blogger is free to use and is owned by Google so if you're gonna create a blog there then monetise it with adsense and amzon only so they can at least pay for the server costs, clickbank doesn't pay diddly squat to them.
