Links wont index!

Hi guys
I am using tiered links (pyramids not wheels) for my seo, but not getting good results. The thing is, most stuff just doesn't get indexed, as in the web 2.0 stuff. E.g I will point 5 articles to my typepad post, and it just wont get indexed. Thats after pinging etc etc.
Maybe the indexing isnt as important, but the lack of results surely is.
Examples of sites where I've spent a while writing content, and writing 3 - 5 articles to each of them, but will NOT index (or give me results) are:
zimbio, typepad, gather, multiply, shutterfly
Any advice?
