Value of Backlinking Services

Hi all

I've recently signed up with a serivce that built me achor text backlinks on 50 high PR sites/blogs.

It's been 6 weeks since these were built and I have not expereinced any improvements in my SERPS. Just wondering if these types of backlinks provide much SEO juice? (they were dofollow).

The pages that were built for me contained the achor text backlinks only, and no other related copy. Does Google see this as duplicate content, and therefore not credit these links with any SEO juice?

Thanks.

It depends on where are those backlinks created? What actually are those high pr sites and what is the number of their indexed pages in google? So many factors count

I would have expected much better than that.

Out of interest, they said high PR sites. PR doesn't affect a site, it affects a page. Ezine articles is PR6 (I believe) but that's the home page, your article with a link back to your site goes on a PR0 page. When people say a site is PR6 or whatever, they're talking about the homepage, your links probably didn't go on the homepages.

Did the service give you a list of all the sites they put them on? Do you know for a fact they even did it at all?

Google will not see your anchor text backlinks as any form of duplicate content.

That's a great point most people overlook when looking for this service. Typically there is not going to be a list supplied of the exact pages your links will be placed on.

Yes I agree, if your creating backlinks in sites with no relation in your niche, then there is no improvement in your SERPs.

It's not enough to just build those links, and let
them sit there. Your SERPs will improve only when
    search engines see your links.

Get your backlinks indexed, and you will get what
    you need.

Yes I did get a list of links they built for me. I’ve checked them, and yes they do exist. An example of a link built for me is:

    indiegogo.com/SueKnelleune

So here's my interpretation of your posts so far, please let me know if my understanding is not correct.

    - The sites my links have been created on have many pages. They are well established.
    - Indiegogo.com (the above link being an example) is a PR 6 site, but my page is actually PR 0 (I checked) meaning it does not pass on much SEO juice?
    - Many of these links are on my “profile”, so yes most of them are profile backlinks. But why don’t they work anymore? They are dofollow
    - So to speed up getting my backlinks indexed, I will ping them. Hopefully this helps…
    - Is it true that backlinks on an unrelated site will not pass on SEO juice? There seems to be a bit of debate around this.

Thanks for your all your feedback. Much appreciated

Page PR is definitely more important than domain PR. People swear by Angela / Paul style forum profile backlinks, which are all PR0 / NA. But I never had much success with forum profile backlinks aside from boosting up buffer pages. (In other words, sending a LOT of lower quality backlinks to a page that linked to my main site.)

That said, I haven't used profile links much myself. So I can't be a true authority on how well, or not so well, they work.

It depends on niche competition. Sometimes you build only 5-10 links and see great improvement in SERP and sometimes 100s of links cannot bring a major change. It may be possible your site already made a big jump in SERP before linkbuilding work. So there are many possibilities, overall backlinking has a great benefit.

Back-linking services is very important to know the popularity of a site linking to other sites with page rank is one way to rank and raise your site in search engines visibility.
