Google Dance or Sandbox? Help!

Please excuse me if I have double posted as I don't think it went through the first time. I have a WP blog that has about 10 posts on it. Each post is optimized for a different keyword but they are all in the same niche. 4 out my 10 posts were ranking on page 1 for google. The other 6 were ranking page 2-5. Now today they are all gone! My site is still indexed.

All I have been doing is submitting articles with AMR and linking back to the original post. My content is also shared by many on the social bookmarking and social network sites. I'm trying to figure out if this is the google dance or google sandbox? I've read so many different opinions, and I don't know what the problem is.

Thanks

Chris

Yes I have searched for the url in google and it comes up. I'm just wondering why all of my posts no longer rank for their keywords when they were all ranking at least in the top 3 pages and 4 of them on page 1.

How old is your blog? if it is still new then it may be "sandboxed" problem is it could just as likley be the "Dance". You will need to give it a week or 2 to know for sure it's not the dance. Just keep optimising and posting new content and your rankings should come back regardless of the reason they have dropped.

It is only 6 weeks old. I'm going to continue to post new content and hopefully all of the other rankings will come back as well.

I think it's only by Google dance. Just continue what you are doing, and don't forget to follow search engine's standards for better results.

Are you sure that you're not ranking at all for any keyword? Use market samurai or something, use the rank tracker for the first 200 pages and see if ur ranking. Wait for 2 weeks or so. If it still doesn't show up, then yeah ur sandboxed. Just continue building backlinks, write some really unique articles from time to time and you'll come back.

Exactly same happened with me.. was ranking #2 for 8 keywords with good traffic for a month (the site was barely 1 month old). Then, all, all gone down to page 20 something. All i had to do was work on BL and write some unique articles.

Hey roady how long did it take you to come back? Also did you keep getting back links to the articles you had already written or did you just focus on the new content?

3 weeks apparently. Was worth the effort I guess. I focused on both: back linking older articles and the new ones. Just kinda 'slowed' down but I definitely got back for all the keywords again.

Google only dance, it's depend to your work, if all on page and off page optimization is good than your ranking will up.

I say just keep doing what you are doing. If you've been adding lots backlinks recently then it may not seem to natural to Google. However keep sticking at it and you'll come back stronger than ever.

NO ONE can say for sure, everyone SAYS to keep building links, but I have yet to see any case studies. Now that might sound crazy to you because I actually sell backlinks, but I'm more interested in the truth than anything. We track every link made for every customer. The link type, date, everything and I've yet to see proof either way. If anyone has any case studies I would really like to see it. I think everyone would.

I can tell you we killed a customers page one time in the beginning being too aggressive with backlinks. It was on page 3 at the time. We stopped building back links cold, literally 9 months later it came back to life and on page 1 and It had never been on page 1 before.

So my advice is do what you feel comfortable, enough people say to keep building backlinks, and I know if you dont your site can still come back stronger. So do what you feel comfortable with and don't put all your eggs in one basket. Good luck

If adding backlinks is your choice, bring it our way, we'll track everything that happens

yea that's true... different people will give different opinions.. not saying if one guy is right other is wrong.. but thanks to google.. it's all hit-and-trial method, for beginners, that is. And of course, for others as well. All you can do is read as many opinions as you can and draw ur own conclusion out of it.. and work on it.

Chrisc616, this question gets asked here 10+ times a day. Contrary to what other people posted here, Google doesn't NOT use black magic to determine rankings. Once you know exactly what to look for and why it happens, you can usually figure out exactly what happened to your site.

Check out the FAQ I've been working on for more info: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...deindexed.html

It's the period when Google is rebuilding its rankings, and results fluctuate widely for a 3 to 5 day period.

The Google Dance Tool is provided as a tool to help you, the webmaster, determine when the Google search engine is spidering the internet. This is extremely useful if you want to know when your site(s) will rank in Google.

    like This site:youdomain.com
If you found your site in search results then your site is not in sandnox and if not IT IS

I think internet marketers usually mix sandbox with google dance. From my research, there is no such thing as sand box..it is just a myth. However having said that, there is certainly google dance which can be very annoying when your ranking success suddenly disappears overnight!!

From my experience google dance usually happens to new domains..it is google's way of trust building period with new domains. All i can advise is keep building quality backlinks..profile links in my opinions is waste of time..it will be devalued by Googlebots in near future.
