PR vs Number of backlinks

Hey warriors,
I recently have started to research physical products and what I should promote. After hours of research I have noticed that a lot of the physical products I want to promote have sites on the first page that will have a pr of 1-5 for the first 3 spots, but they all have about 2-5 backlinks and they are the main site for these products or amazon. But all their competitions have about 1-5 backlinks also. If i built 20 backlinks a day, which would be 600 in a month, for a sites page that i will create that is all targeted for the product keyword, will i be able to out rank these higher pr sites because i will have alot more backlinks. I went up to page 5 for all these searches and none of the other sites will have more then 10 for most of the products i have found. So will i be able to outrank these high pr sites that have no backlinks. They are the owner sites page of the product. So if it is a canon camera, it would be the page for that camera model made by canon, followed by amazon. And it would be a PR 3 with about 2-10 backlinks. What are your thought?
