Just started my first blog a few days ago about saving money and personal finances. I chose my keywords "tips for saving money" and "personal budget". I went to Fiverr and had some articles written and paid for 70 backlinks which all turned out to be profile links. I also installed the seo plugin as well as the analytics and adsense plugins and I am using clickbank as well. I have been studying seo for a while but first time actually using it so I would love some advice. My site is saving-money-tips.com

Any advice to help get indexed and get a top spot would be appreciated. Thanks

should sign up for google webmaster tools as well. it's free

write articles and post them on web 2.0 sites such as hubpages, squidoo, wordpress etc. to get quality backlinks

to get indexed, ping your site. go to pingomatic, pingoat, pingdevice, pingler and ping away

Hi and Welcome to Warrior Forums!

Nice site but I noticed that you have a broken image in your header.

Try to add content on a daily basis and build more backlinks like forum posting with signature, blog commenting, Web 2.0 properties, etc.

I'd do a doublecheck of the theme that you're using. The following are fairly technical, so they're hard to scope, but could have a big impact:

I'm seeing that your home page has multiple H1 tags. This is not only not meeting web/SEO standards, it also means that you're going to have constantly changing page keyword targets, based on the newest content to hit the site.

It also looks like the font-facing structure that you're using may be damaging your SEO. Each article title is spread over about 20-25 lines of code, with about 5-6 HTML tags per word. That could damage search engines' ability/willingness to check out that content. And if it's article titles, you're going to want Google to see it.

I'd dig deeper into the source code of your site, as there may be more.

OK Thanks..not sure how that happened, I'm using wordpress btw. Any ideas on how to fix those on wordpress? I know how to edit the html on posts but not the homepage. Or do you just recommend I change themes, which would suck because thats my favorite from site 5 but does me no good if I dont rank
