Hiy,

Which software do you recommend?
I've just started studying Ed Dale vids, have a few potential niche ideas and wanna get a bit deeper using some software?
What would you go for?

Thanks,
Simon

I have MS and MNF, and I have found I don't use them anymore...I use Market Samurai for the Rank Tracker (when it works) and that's it.

There are ways to just use the Google Keyword Tool and free plugins for Firefox or Chrome that are just as effective, if not better.

    My opinion, of course.

I'm almost in the same exact situation. I also have both MS and MNF but finds it easier to use Google External Keyword Tool.

I've used MNF for about four years and I especially like the SOC feature to identify competitive keywords.

Which plugins for either Firefox or Chrome can duplicate this feature? And what other features of MNF or MS can you duplicate with Google Keyword Tool?

I use SEO Quake (or the toolbar from SEO Tools). After installed, all the results have a bunch of numbers underneath it, showing the PR, the Y!Links, domain age, dmoz, etc..

You have to figure what type of keyword research you are doing first...Are you looking for an exact match domain name? Or just a good keyword to write an a page on?

For the EMD's, you can just use the GKWT to sort by searches first. Then cut and paste the list that is left in GoDaddy, then check the keywords that are available as exact match domains in Google-checking the competition at a glance with the plugin that you installed.
(MUCH EASIER than using Market Samurai, and more effective and faster than MNF)

For keywords to add to websites that you already have, MNF and MS work pretty well. But also just looking at the Wonder Wheel in Google and just brainstorming works too... if not better!!!

Heard good things about MS, but not just for the keyword tool (as shown above) but of course, it all comes down to the google keyword tool tbh.
