Hi,

when I submit my websites in example 1000 directories. How many of them can find search engines? Crawl they every site in directories or the good first only?

If the directories are indexed, your websites will be found. The busier the directory, the more frequently it is crawled. That being said, it's a waste of time to submit your site to thousands of directories. The majority of them aren't worth your time or effort.

if the urls are not heavy on codes and get parameters, and are keyword rich, you stand a good chance to be found, but the real benefit is being grouped together with similar sites (same category)

it will usually crawl all dofollow links but has different crawl rates for different sites so it does depend on the directory.

when I pay for 100 directory submission to a new site I will check a few weeks later with yahoo siteexplorer and usually see about 10 backlinks, it seems 1000 does not add to many more though
