1st Page Exact Match Only?

I've done it! Or have I? My site is on the first page of google when you use quotation marks around the keyword. When you don't use quotation marks, my site is ranked way back on page 20. What is going on here? The keyword I'm ranking for gets 150K monthly searches, so this is exciting to be halfway on page 1.

      Any ideas why my site appears on page 1 only for exact matches? I would think exact match searches would be more precise about who deserves to be on page 1. Maybe my ranking will improve dramatically for regular searches soon?

    Long way to go pal. your keyword in quotes won't do much. Your actual position on google stands around page 20 only. Work on the backlinks and the related stuff and if you happen to beat your competition, you'll might as well get on the first page.
