hey warriors,

I know some directories took a hit after the big G's farmer update
back in march,

How are NEWER articles doing
?

that were placed in directories after the update... still suffering?

Just after the update, articles that were previously on the 1st page of the serps for their KW's, were then relegated into obscurity, or at least dropped in the serps (at least for Ezine and Articlesbase) Granted, some maintained their position's in the serps based on "longevity" or tantamount factors such as pagerank or backlinks, but many if not most newer articles suffered considerably.....

I'm NOT concerned about older articles or those with many backlinks

but instead how are newer articles faring at this juncture? still suffering?

any knowledge or your observations appreciated

Danni~

    Hi Danni,

I had my outsourcer outsource 80+ articles 1 year ago when
I was doing my research my Traffic Dashboard.

The number of clicks on the resource box have gone up
    every month since, including April.

Now, the articles were 500 words and were unique
    content.

In my opinion, article marketing is a long term strategy
that builds. People are so short-term oriented they don't
    see the bigger picture.

Now, I am curious to see how the May clicks come in.

We'll see. I suspect they will continue to go up. From what
I see Google Panda is what Google said -- a slap on low
    quality content.

    Marlon

If you take a look at the "most viewed articles in 60 days" section for each category, I've noticed there are some serious differences...I just don't know how to interpret them.

I write in the golf niche, and I've noticed the #1 most viewed article seems to get more views than before the update.

For other niches, the #1 most viewed article is only in the low 100's of views when it used to be consistently in the low 1,000's of views.

It seems like specific niches were really affected for EZA. It's all over the board, but there are definite differences!

Article Marketing has been just as effective in my opinion though...obviously depending on your niche.
