RSS feeds on front page to make site fresh to google?

Hi does it still work to put RSS feeds on your front page, like feeds from news papers etc? making it a fresh constantly updated page to google?

    Yes, google always looks for the fresh content. When you place new content in your site it should be updated by placing RSS feeds.

      If the rss feed is a javascript, widget, etc., it aint gonna show shinola
      except the script. It will, however, look fresh to your visitors.

      I always have a "latest news" page, with the scripts provided by
      various services, including google.
