Enhancing my sites winning keywords

I have a site that has a couple of keywords that are performing well and they rank between 3 and 8 on the first page of google.

Currently, what is the best way to enhance those positions?

Should I be writing more articles on the site that point back to the articles that are ranking and are based on the same subject?

I don't have the money for Build My Rank/Keyword Academy just now, so what is the best way to go about backlinking? After the algo change what are the best sites for getting backlinks?

    Writing articles is a very effective way to build backlinks. You are often able to choose the anchor text yourself (good for SEO), put the links within the text (good) and make the articles that link back to your site relevant (also good).

    Even after the most recent Google algorithm change (these are very common by the way) this still works.

    If you don't have the money for Build My Rank, do you have enough to get Article Marketing Robot ($87)? It's only a one time payment, no subscription. It is a very good way to automate the distribution of relevant articles with backlinks in - a good way to improve your rank.

    Whatever backlinks you build, be careful not to blast out loads all at once - it's often best to slowly but consistently build good quality relevant backlinks.
