I was wondering if Google can crawl bit.ly links and pass on link juice?

Thanks in advance for your response.

I think they would pass a smaller percentage of link juice, the short links are basically a 301/302 redirect.

Google has it's own URL shortener service here.

Google doesn't crawl the shortened URL from Bit.ly.
Bit.ly uses a 301 redirect from the shortened URL to the desired URL, therefore, the shortened URL will never get indexed.

Actually, bitly creates a page that can get a Google Cache.

In order to get a Google Cache the page has to be crawled by a Google bot.

      Example: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:bit.ly/jYsuwL%2B+site:bit.ly&hl=en&gl=us&strip=1

Looks like bitly has about 208,000 short links indexed. I realize this wouldn't happen If bitly didn't create that statistics page on their own site.

      Just saying...
