Like I've built my website since a month ago, and I do everything to make my site be listed on Google like social bookmarking with the title tag as keyword.

And it has not been ranked for the main keyword yet.

Note: The keyword I choose is low-competitor.

Any replies will be appreciated, thanks!!

A lot of factors could be wrong. Maybe your metatag and title tag are not configured properly. I might help you do a detail analysis if i see your site.

if you start your work on single keyword than it will take long time, you have choose long title including your target keywords for bookmarking and for directories just choose a single keywords with home page, try it i damn sure you will get good
result on your keywords. And remember directories are do follow but bookmarks are do follow and no follow both so you have choose only do follow bookmarks. do it. good luck.

Getting backlinks with your keyword as anchor text will help. There's the famous anchor text "Click here" that reffers to the Adobe reader download page more than anywhere else, even though the phrase doesn't appear on that page.

Google's "Latent semantic Indexing" can supposedly recognize other words and overall content of articles that are relevant to your keyword, write more about it.

Don't use exact match anchor text all the time. Use partial match, like if you're trying to rank for "HD 5970" maybe have some links that say "Buy the HD 5970" or "HD 5970 for Sale"

Meta tags have no bearing. I wonder why that keeps getting tossed in,
when it should get tossed out.

We (you) are assuming your page should rank for YOUR chosen keyword.
Google may beg to differ and think your site is something else.

You can't get silk out of a sow's ear.

You can build all the anchor text you like, and do as much social
bookmarking (I don't have that time myself) as you wish.

We also now nothing about the competition and what they are
presently doing. Seems like everybody forgets that aspect.

So many have the mentality, "I built a site a month ago...did
everything on the list...still no ranking...google is so unfair and crazy."

      Who teaches that?
