I tried reading the instructions somewhere (forgot where) but dind't get it.

Currently I have a square box text banner at the bottom of my article.

I want it instead to be thin and go across the length of the page like a usual banner.

How to do it?

    Login to your adsense account and check out the other ad formats.
    There is one that is 728x90.

    You could put two 468x60 ads side by side.

    Might be an outdated page (link below)?

    This link will show Adsense banner sizes.

      The sizes are not outdated, but that page is.
      The format has changed, no video ads, etc.

      You wonder why a multibillion dollar company can't update that.

        That's why I mentioned it's possible the page was outdated.

        I noticed the video ads at the bottom.

  • I don't really understand what is being asked. You can select from the available sizes using the Drop Down box when you create your ads and that's it. You can not manipulate the code to fit a given size.

    Hi, is it possible to change the size of the banner, the sizes
    available just arent suitable for me, is it possible to have a banner
    that is a width of 682, height dosent matter.

      The closest is the 728 width.

      Or, put a 468 and 200 side by side

      How did you choose the one you have now?
      You just do the same, but pick a different standard size.

      Unless you are a premium publisher, you have to work with
      what they give you.

      You are limited to what Ad sizes Google provides in the Adsense Admin.

      Still you can place that Adsense code inside an html Div-Tag like this:

      <div class="MyNewDiv">
      **Adsense Code Here**
      </div>
      Then make the Div-Tag fill the space in your site, & some basic CSS style for only the Div (not Adsense).

      Make the Div background color the exact same html color as the Adsense background.

      This will make the Adsense look a bit larger.

      You don't want to go to extremes, & DON'T add any images to your Div background.

      Don't bother messing with it If you don't know html/CSS + Adsense TOS.

      You are not allowed to change any of the Adsense code, but you can do basic CSS/Div code. Just know what your doing & don't get banned. Your Adsense code should always be a direct copy/paste from your own Adsense Admin. That copy/paste Adsense code should look exactly the same when you view your page source code in your browser.
