Hi,
Just a quick question.
I am in the UK with a UK hosting company. However I am after global traffic for a .com site, would it be better to use a US hosting package, like Hostgator for example or doesn't it matter.

Cheers

It doesn't matter a lot . It depends on the content of your website. If it is related to global then you will receive global traffic.

It might play a certain role.

I am also hosting on UK since i think that UK is a good compromise of speed for me administering sites in Europe - and the speed from the states to UK is also acceptable. (My traffic is also mainly US)

I have one site tho which ranks *through the roof* in UK and a little worse in US...wondering whether a server move to US would actually increase rankings in US. It probably would.
