Optimizing a site for different keywords.

I am lil bit confused about one SEO method. So asking it here again by thinking If experienced warriors can help me.

Suppose I am trying to optimize my home page for 3 different keywords. Now If I create 3 different backlinks using those 3 different keywords from same website will google, bing, Yahoo etc. count all 3 keywords for my home page? Or just one keyword will work?

As far as I know more then one backlinks from same site will not be counted by Search Engines. More then one keyword from same site for same domain. Will it be counted? :confused:

    Google will typically not count them if they are on the same page, but if you put two links on different pages of the same website they will be counted. The first link that vertically appears on the page for your website is the one that counts.

    Hey Rafiseo, I think the best thing you can do is be honest to the search engines ) they are really clever these days & will simply slam you for trying to dupe them.

    What I would suggest as far getting better ranked for more keywords is to get some fantastic L.S.I keywords create more pages & optimize them. Don't forget to do internal linking also to give your site more love!

    Never optimize ONE page for multiple keywords - decide what you want to rank for

    Note that every single PAGE on a site has the same ranking chances. Ideally, you make ONE page/post per keyword and optimize that particular page/post for that keyword.

    You home page is only one page from many possible on your site...so optimize your home page for one KW..and make more sub-pages for the others.

    Of course they will be counted. If there is what you called "longtail keyword" then, maybe there is also "long-tail website".
