Is This The Right Way To Get High SERPs?

Firstly, I did a little keyword research using the Google AdWords tool. I picked a phrase ' how to get success in life.' This has 1000 global montly searches.

I write an article on my Blog with about 1.5% keyword density. This got ranked on the sixth page of Google.

I have now write a short 300 word article on my other Blog, with about 1% keyword density and linked it to my first Blog. With the keywords in the anchor text.

I then have commented on a Blog that appeared at the top of google for this keyword.

Do I have to keep doing this to raise my Rankings for the Keyword? Is this the right way.

Remember I am new so go easy on me

I think this is pretty good strategy to bring your site at google top search results but your content should unique and have valuable information for users that when they read and could attract because its just not the matter to bring the users once.

That is just a tip of an iceberg of getting to the top result pages. But you are already on the right track. Keep doing it and make some comments on high pr sites. Cheers

Yes I completely agree. The content I am writing is unique, with an affiliate link at the end of the article. To improve my Google rankings, Do I have to continue to build links, any tips on this would be helpful.

yup... a good strategy to begin with. though you dont have to use different articles to backlink to your 1st money site... you can post the same articles to different web2.0 sites like squidoo, xanga, weebly, etc... some of them dont accept dupe content so make sure you're not crossing any lines...

That is good to know. The article on my second Blog was short but unique. It was like a summary of my main article and added a link to my main Blog.

As this is a long tail and low-competition keyword (as Google keyword tool shows) you may get away with just a few links to rank well for it, and valuable blog commenting is certainly a good way to start. But generally speaking, if you want raise your rank for keywords you need to build versatile link profiles including social networks, web2.0's, blog commenting, forums, private sites etc.

There are tool out there that allows you to automate the process, e.g. Senuke x or SEO Link Robot (aff. in my signature). Senuke X is probably the most versatile and powerful, but it's relatively expensive. You may want to check out this Senuke X review: articlemarketing4u.com/senuke-x-review-link-building-automation-system/

      Thank you very much.

I have submitted these two links on Digg and Delicious. Although, since I registered yesterday. I am not sure how effective this will be to begin with.

I am not sure if submitting to Digg and Delicious will be enough. I'd do more valuable blog commenting on high-traffic blogs*) - this way not only will you get link juice but you may also get some targeted traffic and establish good relationships with blog owners to get some featured guest posts on their blogs in the future.

*) you can tell whether the blog is high-traffic by checking its Alexa rank (it's not 100% accurate, but good enough)

I won't focus that heavily on submitting to web 2.0 sites. I will be doing some blog commenting on high traffic blogs in my niche, to build links pointing to my Blog.

I would have longer articles than 300 words. Mine are 700 to 850. Focus on your keywords. Mine have up to 3.5% density no higher than this) and lots of related keywords in the article.

I use a free bookmarking service to bookmark all my latest articles. I also interlink the various pages and I change the link color on the internal linking to an off black so the eye stays focused on the bright blue adsense ads.

        That is a good tip.

I have changed a few of my links to a different colour to help make these links stand out.

Just to let you know, you did your keyword research wrong. Your keyword gets 720 searches a month according to Google. You have to check the "Exact Match" box. The 1,000 per month is broad match. That's different.

The best thing you can do to boost your rankings in Google is to get high quality, dofollow backlinks, using your targeted keyword as anchor text. Check out my sig. to learn more.

Good, quite good approach in getting healthy ranking. However, my suggestion for you is to not to go for such long tail keywords as people love to enter shorter queries.

    Regards

Yep that is the way to start ranking, writing unique articles focusing on your keywords, and getting backlinks such as those comment links on related blogs, over time you will see your results improve depending on how competitive the niche

Yes its enough to get ranking. But u have to update your blog by posting regular articles and add RSS feed to your blog. Better bookmark your blog in most popular bookmarking sites and try to participate in guest blogging..

The users should be presented with a original content site and in this way you can decrease the bounce rate of your site. The strategy which you implemented was indeed the right way to get ranked.

Page 1 of Google. That is right 1st Page. Position 7th.

I have contacted another site with a PR 4. I will create the content and submit it the next couple of days. Hopefully, that will give me a position in the top 3

Thank you all for your support. I know its a low keyword search, but it shows through determination and patience you can achieve the things you want.

Thats one way to increase the ranking of your website on search engines, but there are always new updates in algorithm that affected rankings of websites. So, to make your efforts more try to get more ways of link building. this will improve in ranking.

    Hello!

Keywords are important but the content of the whole write-up is more important. It's a good strategy but remember, many users check out the very first result in Google searches, so your write-up should always be accurate and unique. It should be timely and interesting.

    Best of Luck!

Try to make sure any webpage you link from is on a different IP. If you create lots of links from the same IP this looks odd and lacks the value of links from unrelated IP's

This is just horrible advice. Player87 - the best advice I can give you is to stay away from automated link building tools - they offer little value and are extremely dangerous especially for people just starting out.

This advice is correct but it is dangerous without mentioning that you have to make sure that your backlink profile resembles a natural backlink profile. If you don't know what a natural backlink profile looks like then hold off building links until you do. Once you understand how links increase ranking the next essential skill is establish natural variation and not to over optimize.

Automated link building is fine if it is done correctly. Remember these tools are only as good as the information that is put into them. If you fill it with rubbish then the results will be rubbish. Simple as that.

There is no quick way to fast rankings, it takes time, patience and persistence.
The key to link building after the penguin update is the variation of links and anchor texts. The problem with SEnuke at the moment is that it encourages the use of garbage spun content from using the best spinner which is simply not high quality enough to be pointed at a money site. SEnuke is just a tool, not a money making machine and can speed up what you should be doing by hand. If you throw rubbish out of it then you will get penalised.

Penguin demands a good variation of anchor text links, this will include the likes of Click Here, This Site, More Information, etc etc. Your main money anchor text should be used less than 50% of the time. The likes of SEnuke only enable you to enter in 3 keywords in, of course this can be altered manually but the majority of people are lazy and just want a quick fix which simply does not exists.
