Will a 1 Page Squeeze Page Rank in Google?

My page is in the Top 5 for its keywords in MSN, Live, and Yahoo

yet absolutely no ranking by Google!

Is it possible for a squeeze page to rank well in Google? Or does Google slap it down since it's basically a 99% bounce rate? (the page is for an email newsletter)

Any advice to ranking a squeeze page higher?

    Hi Dexx,

    There are no special requirements that apply to "squeeze pages" as far as getting ranked in Google. The exact same rules apply to all of your pages, regardless of your intended purpose.

    The classic "squeeze page" concept violates many of the standard Google Webmaster Guidelines. If you modify your squeeze page to make it compliant with Google's guidelines they will give you some love.

    I suggest you study those guidelines and if you have difficulty implementing any of them, come back here and post the specifics and I'm sure you'll get some help.

    Okay so I checked my site over and it meets the guidelines, and I checked my Google Webmaster account and the site is still listed as being in great condition with the site ranking #116 for my main keyword.

    So at least I know its not banned.

    But I just ran a link check on it, and I have over 600+ backlinks to my site with various anchor texts all focused on various variations of the keywords for my site...

    I don't get why I'm still ranked so poorly in Google compared to some of the other sites!

    Anyone have ideas as to whats causing me to rank so low for something as simple as "how to lose weight fast" which I have 130 backlinks for?

    Google hates squeeze pages so you have to jazz it up with things like a sitemap and Terms of Use etc. You should get some love after that.
