hi and PPC Conversion question

first off, hi, this is my first post here. just stumbled across this searching for a ppc forum, hopefully this is the place for me to be.
Im client side PPC manager for a large UK retailer. have been in the role a year. I love it, PPC sings to my geek.
Anyway, the question I had was for anyone working in retail PPC. Just wondering what sort of YOYs people are seeing in conversion? Had some pretty ghastly figures for a while now, and no amount of auditing, bid management etc seems to be impacting.
I think there are some onsite factors such as price and stock, but I get the feeling we can't be the only ones struggling to convert.
Anyone else in the same boat?
