Develop An Authority Or Build A Network

Hi Everyone,

Here's my position:

I have a three/four month old 23 page website (not including site pages) which brings me in about $300 a month (I expect this to increase).

The problem is most the potential keywords and topics I've already covered and I've began almost going out of the niche (but still under the same site topic) for the most recent pages.

Should I continue to build pages under the topic but not in the tight niche (the domain is also suitable to the niche not the topic) or should I create a second website under the same topic but with this new niche?

Many thanks,

Sam

Hard to call without licve example but here goes:

If your site is called catbowls.com and then you start expanding into cat toys, cat leads etc, then I would say start a new domain.

However, if your site is called cats.com then I would simply create new sub sections within that site about cat leads, toys, bowls etc.

Hope that helps. All the very best, Allen

It would be a good idea to start expanding out to more websites just in case google decides they don't want your authority website getting traffic anymore.

In the meantime why not find ways to funnel more traffic into your site since it is converting well as it is. Find high traffic forums, discussion boards, video sites, etc. Maybe even some quick testing with ppc just to make the most out of your already converting site.

    Thanks,

Sounds like I will start a new domain then, I was tempted to add them to the original site since the pages are easier to rank for my already backlinked domain.
