How do you get Google to re-cache your site?

I am creating a shopping cart site. Google sent a bot before I had the products uploaded. If I do a a google search for my website address and click the cached button I can see that they took a screencap when there were no products on the main page.

I'm still building the site. When completed I will send google the sitemap to put it in their websites to index.

Is there a way to request they take a cache a new snapshot of the front page?

The Googlebot will be back within a few days...maybe less. Rather than try to force Google to come back sooner, you would be better of spending your time getting as much content in place as possible, so that it all gets crawled on the next visit.

TY. That's exactly what I'm doing today. I'm spending the day adding content to the site. My problem was I started building backlinks to it already and forgot to change the setting in wp.

      THX again...

As stated in the post above, the google bot will come back all by itself.

If you're using wordpress though, you cam use the XML sitemap plugin to help goolge cache your site and the cbnet ping optimizer plugin to speed up the process, by automatically pinging.
